Greetings

As a fiddler, singersongwriter, and director of a small, rural library in northern Vermont "alt country librarian" seemed to say it all. This will mostly be a blog about life as a small town librarian, with the occasional musical note thrown in.

As I write, 4 inches of snow have fallen and lots more to come. A family of three braved the snow-packed roads to come to the library this morning. Two tall piles of books are teetering on the circulation desk, awaiting check out, and our on-line catalog is down. So its back to the slow but solid, old-fashioned method of pulling cards.

Hi,

Sorry I missed the grand opening of your expanded library. Next time I visit "Sew In Love" quilt shop, I will be sure to stop by for a look!

Hi, cold country librarian!
You should upload a nice picture of yourself to put on your blog; then we see it when we see you plugged into our blog as a "friend."
Love, B

Yup. I did that. Maybe your blog will inspire me to actually write in mine... All i need is a stray cat to show up and i could become famous (a la "Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched The World"!!)
